My Dad loved Pittsburgh. He grew up here. And he worked for the old Pittsburgh Press as a photojournalist. So art and images were a big part of his life.
On a warm February day dad and I were driving along Grant street. Dad said look up. As I peered through the sunroof, I ask …. Now what? Dad’s answer was look at the top of the buildings. Look at the details. Its beuitful but no one ever looks up. I think of that every time I walk in the city. The builds have form and function. But they are a form of art.
