After 16 years I moved back to Pittsburgh. What did I find? Not a smoky, rusting city, but a city reborn.
My father Ross was a photojournalist. As a child I would ask my dad…. What did you do today? Dad told me stories of places and people he met.
For me, that was cool, and I wanted to do that. My life led me to Penn State, where I earned a degree in film. While at Penn State, I watched the Gulf War on CNN. And I knew I wanted to work for CNN.
After Penn State, I started working at CNN. Entry level, but then I moved up. I was able to see the world!
But while I was traveling the world, my father was getting older and his health was declining. So I moved back to Pittsburgh. I took care of him in his later years. Today I work for CBS news as a photojournalist. However, while I was away, the city had changed. Catztales is about exploring my hometown through photos
